Congratulations Memphis School of Excellence!

We would like to congratulate the Robotics Team of Memphis School of Excellence for their impressive performance at the 2011 FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Tennessee State Tournament in Cookeville this past weekend. The MSE team was awarded 3rd place for Mechanical Design out of 50 teams competing statewide. This was a great feat for a new team in such a large tournament!

The FLL was co-sponsored by UT-Battelle and Tennessee Technological University. The FLL is considered the “little league” of the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition and is the result of a partnership between FIRST and the LEGO Group. The purpose of the tournament is to inspire students ages 9-14 to celebrate science and technology using real world context and hands-on experimentation. For more information on the FLL, please visit the link below.

Again, please join us in applauding the hard work and efforts of the students and faculty of Memphis School of Excellence. Well done, MSE Eagles!
