First Global Community Conference Held

This past week, the West TN FLL Partners (Daniel Kohn and Tom Banning of the University of Memphis) attended the First Global Community Conference in Hyannis, Massachusetts along with partners from around the nation and the world!

There was a packed schedule of events, seminars and speakers, all designed to share ideas and knowlage to help us improve you and your teams experience during the World Class FLL Season.

Some of the changes discussed are already being implemented on a national level (New Team Registration system and procedures, the youth protection plan and the new volunteer registration system, event management system and training system for judges) and some ideas we will be implementing locally (like improvements to this website, changes in communicating with teams, coaches and volunteers and ways to improve the West TN FLL Championship).

We look forward to a great “World Class” Season!

One last thing, TeamUp (the site to help you connect with others in the area that wish to join/start teams that we mentioned on May 14) is currently down for MAJOR revisions. Many FLL Partners felt the tool needed a lot of work to make it easier to make connections. US First is now working on an improved version, unfortunately the service is down for a while while the work is being done.
